Hi I’m Aveline Clarke and I live in Brisbane, Queensland.  Back in late 2007 I woke up one morning and found myself filled with dread at the thought of going into work to my hugely successful executive corporate job in Melbourne. With a large amount of nervous energy and willpower I got through that day and a few more after it before realising that chasing my tail, doing the work of 3 people and making a ton of money for someone else wasn’t my idea of a happy future.

So with around 15 years experience under my belt from working in different types of businesses and industries where I always made massive improvements and made the bosses money, I took my bag of tricks and set up my own business.

Nothing could have prepared me for what it was like to work for myself, but it’s a decision I rejoice in every day. I’ve experienced the lows, the highs, and the common pitfalls of working for oneself and making money. Yet I love what I do and I get a buzz out of helping business owners make money too.

I know that I got lucky too, because I came into contact with people who had made it in the real world as entrepreneurs and were able to teach me many things that saved me having to go through the pain that they had.

One of my biggest influences since setting up my business is Brendan Nichols. He has this great line:

“They Lied – Hard Work Killed Lots of People”!

I love this saying because it’s exactly what was happening to me in my corporate job in Melbourne, and I see it happening to SO MANY other people all the time.

So I set up Adaptive, a systems & people specialist service where I work with Business Owners to eliminate chaos and help them make money. I do this by reducing wasteful effort, aligning processes to systems that make life easier for everyone, and ensuring that the staff are operating at their absolute maximum. And the best thing is that I LOVE what I do!
